HURRICANE FLORIDA

Florida is currently on high alert as Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine is forecast to develop into Hurricane Helene later this week. This system is expected to impact the Florida Panhandle and possibly the west coast of Florida, with the potential for a dangerous and life-threatening storm surge, heavy rain, and strong winds. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) has issued advisories and warnings for the affected areas, and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has declared a state of emergency for 41 counties to help prepare for the storm.
